Aries New Moon in Houses - Updated March 24th,...

The New Moon is Aries is like walking through a purifying fire, to burn off sleepy habits and get you animated.  In the direct glare of Aries, the essence of a situation -- or what needs to happen next -- becomes clear.  Avoid flame wars and power struggles that tie up your energies.  Aries is a cardinal sign, making this a lunation to act (wisely).

What's been germinating through the winter months is now ready for launch. This is the very first sign of the Zodiac. What's seeded now has the force of Spring behind it.

Look for ways to direct any intensity toward what you'd most like to see happen. Aries New Moon in 2014 is on Sunday, March 30th at 2:45 pm (Eastern-US).  It's a super-charged one -- here's a fresh take on the Aries New Moon (2014).

The Sun and Moon are aligned at 9º Aries 59' (go ahead and round up to 10) -- where does this fall in your birth chart? Look for the Aries glyph around the outside of your wheel. Take note that Aries might fall across two houses.

These interpretations below are just a jumping off point -- like this New Moon.

Forecast for the Houses

Aries New Moon in the First House: (House of Aries and Mars) Your rising sign is (possibly) Aries, so this is backing to go big, and make a striking first impression. Being seen -- by potential employers, friends, acquaintances -- sets things in motion. Your presence opens doors -- now is a time to reinvigorate your self-image. Adorn yourself with the colors of fire -- oranges, reds, yellow. The heat of the sauna or steam room is purifying, and a place for reflection at the New Moon. Get moving, with a vigorous activity you love doing. Do your own thing, even if it makes you stand out -- embody the power of the pioneer. Spirit in Action: Sparking encouragement; taking the lead; demonstrating the magic of action; animated and inspired.

Aries New Moon in the Second House: (House of Taurus and Venus) With Aries here, you're the first to jump on novel ways of making a living. This lunation revives your entrepreneurial spirit. Have you been developing an idea or product that's aligned with a niche in the market? Now is a time for strategy, drawing allies, and mapping out a plan of action. Ponder how to share your originality with the world, as something to sustain you (through wealth). Be a pioneer -- consider radical ways to thrive. Put energy into cultivating your natural talents, and face fears of not being good enough. Beautify your space, take stock of your assets (inner and outer), and work practical magic in the 3D. Spirit in Action: Live your values. Strike out on your own and be productive. Grow your own!

Aries New Moon in the Third House: (House of Gemini and Mercury) The fires of Aries in your third house give you a dynamism in everyday exchanges. You're often the first to ride a trend, and come alive in an animated, very social atmosphere. What will light a new fire in your consciousness? Follow what's full of potential -- areas to learn about, research, expand your vision. Is it time for a purge of the trappings of an old mindset? A physical act is recycling old magazines, switching out books, starting a brand new journal. Start a blog or site to share your perspective. Consider fiery oratory -- ways to tell stories or give presentations where your whole body is alive. Spirit in Action: Sparking ideas. Moving others with your passion through a medium. Bright mind awakens potential in others.

Aries New Moon in the Fourth House: (House of Cancer and the Moon) Aries here paints the walls red, and ensures a high-spirited home life. This lunation could inspire a move, or investment in real estate. You're alerted to ways to grow, having to do with family, origins and sense of place. You might conspire more family time, without distractions. This could be time to rearrange the furniture, to support new ventures. An area dedicated for work, regular exercise or creative experimentation could be what's needed now. Out with the old, in with the new -- a trip to Goodwill could be in order. Sage your home, and enliven it with vibrant music and colors. Spirit in Action: Investing more in home life. Making home a nurturing place for the essential self. Striking out from family (perhaps temporarily), to remember who you are.

Aries in the Fifth House: (House of Leo and the Sun) With the fires of Aries stoking your natal house here, you are revitalized by adventures, romance, and what you do in your time off. Now is the time to jump on activities that vibe with fun, testing your abilities, and perhaps some good-natured competition. What mediums of self-expression are calling you? There could be more than a hobby in it -- new doors, friendships and even love could be found by following what you love. There's an element of the speculative here, for risks at this lunation in finances, love or a creative idea. The act of trusting, and going with instincts makes you a winner in the process. Spirit in Action: Spotting a lucrative investment opportunity. The courage to create. An ardent love affair.

Aries New Moon in the Sixth House: (House of Virgo and Mercury or Chiron) An Aries-inspired house of health and working life makes you one to squeeze out all you can in a day. A new habit of exercise started now can be a catalyst -- for your social life, health and even your love life. Applying heat/warmth to diseases of body and mind can be purifying -- like taking a sauna or soaking up the Sun. Be a warrior for your own sanity. That word has a Sixth House (Virgo) theme in it -- sanitation. Be bold with healing, and getting rid of dead weight. A shake up in your routine wakes you up, and in that alert state, life is good. Spirit in Action: Exploring a cutting edge health technology. Looking into being a healing pioneer. Declaring independence from treating symptoms, and getting to the core issues and prevention. Taking charge of your health and day's rhythm. Taking a stand and confronting what keeps you from being productive.

Aries New Moon in the Seventh House: (House of Libra and Venus) Your house of Libra is Aries-charged, making all relationships intense. You thrive when you're challenged to keep at your edge. This lunation, call in friends and partners who provoke you -- even with tough love -- to be independent, and reach your true potential. If you seek a main ally in love or business, draw up a wish list of qualities and send it out at the New Moon. This house is also about meeting the public, or your audience. Shifting focus to those who will be receptive to your ideas makes a huge difference == hone in on your target audience. Spirit in Action: An overhaul in how you present yourself or market your business. A significant change in relationships -- endings or beginnings.

Aries New Moon in the Eighth House: (House of Scorpio and Pluto) Aries in the house of the shaman gives you a bold spirit for even the most difficult feats of transformation. This lunation opens doors to new 'secret' knowledge, perhaps a new area of experiential learning. A cauldron, bonfire or candle can be a point of meditation, to purify your psyche, to die and be reborn from the ashes. Write down what you'd like to transform on paper and cast it into the fire. Cut cords with someone you're enmeshed with, by visualizing fire between you. A wildfire has its place in nature, cracking open seeds, and burning off dead material. Soul searching now has that feel of walking through fire, and emerging ready to begin again. Spirit in Action: Being a catalyst, drawing out hidden treasure. Becoming independent financially, or merging resources with another. Fighting off energy vampires, being your own psychic border control.

Aries New Moon in the Ninth House: (House of Sagittarius and Jupiter) Lucky Jupiter and the bold spirit of Aries in this house combine to give you a mighty adventurous spirit. A fresh start here could mean a new field of study, travel plans or following a thread of gold to an inspired philosophy. Many times in your life, you reach new horizons that revive your sense of the future. The seeker shows up in dreams at this lunation, dropping hints with synch winks at what paths to embark on. Travel could have some physical challenge to it, like walking the Camino or The Way, in Spain. Your quest has to be full-bodied, for you to stay engaged. Spirit in Action: A solo journey. Lightening your load, to be light on your feet (like the Fool). Combining the intellect with hands-on experience. Travel and knowledge-seeking, on one trip.

Aries New Moon in the Tenth House: (House of Capricorn and Saturn) You're an ambitious soul with Aries in your house of life's work. This is a lunation to rededicate yourself to your calling. If there is a huge gap between you and your dream, ask for spirit's guidance to close it. Aries here gives you courage and resolve. This could be time to set new goals -- a new mountain to climb. You thrive with meaty and long-term goals, and actions now have force to move you upward. Is it time to take the lead? Looking at your competition in an area gives you insight into how it's done. Meet up with someone whose achievements you admire. A great time to think realistically about your work life, with the optimism of Aries to overcome hurdles in the way. Spirit in Action Finding a mentor, or being one. Stepping into authority in your field. Gaining credentials and experience, toward mastery.

Aries New Moon in the Eleventh House: (House of Aquarius and Uranus) With Aries in your house of friends and allies, you're a natural leader. Fresh air in this house means a look at who you're keeping company with. Is it time to draw into your sphere new friends that vibe with your current interests? You also might follow a passion for a cause, a vision or an emerging paradigm. Moving in circles of bright minds nourishes your need for a new beginning. Now is a time, too, for unconventional plans of action. You might defy convention, by breaking away from the Internet, or some other radical move of mental independence. An unusual interest could end up being a viable path -- one of movement and growth. Spirit in Action: Joining or leaving a club/group/association. Inspiration out of the blue. The power of invention, originality, quirky ways.

Aries New Moon in the Twelfth House: (House of Pisces and Neptune) If Aries is the light in your house of the deep interior, you wield power behind the scenes. You instinctively know that all that's seen, first is experienced as unseen. Your force as a visionary makes this lunation one for soul searching, downtime and active dreaming. A retreat for you can be very active, in your studio, pottering around, or walking in nature. The new treasure is found when you consult your divine inspiration directly, cutting out any middlemen and distractions. Spirit in Action: Be present to your own rich inner landscape; Move your soul messages; Unplug and tune in to something more; Create a vision board; Invite the muse, create, rest, be.

Aries New Moon, 2014

Aries New Moon, 2014 Margaret L. Jackson/Getty Images

Ancient and Natural

A confidence-boosting New Moon in Aries is exact on Sunday, March 30th (at 2:45 pm EDT). It falls at 9º Aries 59', so rounded up to 10 degrees, this is your zone to grow.

See your forecast --  Aries New Moon in the Houses -- for this degree of Aries in your chart.

This is a super-charged seeding time for anything new. And if you’re struggling with dragging energy, it’s a spark out of stagnation.

Aries brings with it a natural enthusiasm, a lightness of being and eagerness for new experiences.  The days ahead into April look to be full of cardinal tension, and a pressure to grow or adapt.  Aries is fuel to look alive, and have courage in drastic times.

Serendipitously, I picked the Fire Dragon or Draig-teine (in Gaelic), in the Druid Animal Oracle.  "Draig-teine brings vitality, enthusiasm, and courage, and an increased ability to overcome obstacles and to find the energy needed to cope with life's problems."  The Fire Dragon awakens your own inner fire, to use with "laser-like precision to help you accomplish tasks..."

Evolutionary Pressure

Here's the Aries New Moon chart  -- the transformation zapper Uranus is right there at 12 degrees Aries.  New Moons are often times of retreat, so here, there can be implosions that set outer change in motion.

Uranus is in its sparky, threatening angle to Pluto (Capricorn) and both form a T-Square (motivating tension) to Jupiter (Cancer).  There's been a lot of talk of humanity and Earth itself becoming something wholly new.

And yet, Jupiter is in the sign of home, origins (the past) and what's nurturing to life.  Aries is the sign most eager to go on, and do it.  But Pluto in its square makes known any areas that still need detoxing, eliminating, deprogramming.  The Jupiter angle supports big growth when there's an atmosphere or mood (Cancer) that's familiar, timeless.

The impression I get with this T-square at the New Moon is that it's one for speedy surge-like growth.  But that the Uranus-Pluto square is as much about taking apart, as it is about building up.  Some may experience a breakdown, others a breakthrough.

And that Jupiter (Cancer) shines its light on the path of the personal -- what makes sense from the roots of your own life story.  It's a fine time then for active mining of the past, lifting out what has emotional potency.

”Mars Launches Sun to Stardom”

So often, we're pulled into the drama of others (celebrities, news, memes).  But Aries season is when the spirit of individualism is peaking.  Add the rebellion of Uranus, and it's a recipe for coming back to your own life, taking the road less traveled.

Mars (in Libra)  is backing up to complete the cardinal cross in April.   Mars is Aries' ruler and its boldness gives your unique way (Sun) a bounce.

Aries is a champion of selfhood, and your Sun sign is your essential way of expressing who you are.

I’m reminded of what Marguerite Manning said, in a conversation on Neptune Nudges and Karma. I asked her an admittedly broad question, “What’s this thing called life all about?” And she responded, “I think it’s about living an honorable human life, and that’s one that the body has worked for, but the soul can be proud of...and I think down here on planet earth that’s a little difference because we’re spiritual beings having a mental experience in a physical world and that’s why we need Mars to push that Sun to stardom and Neptune out there reminding us of the initial game plan. It’s about meeting your past, looking it square in the eye and saying, how do I move beyond this.”

Neptune and Pisces (Mercury) form miraculous angles and undercurrents at the New Moon.  In times like these, so demanding and exciting, Neptune sight reveals what's fluid, what old beliefs or roles can be slipped off like an out-of-date dress.

Here is a New Moon for deep contemplation, and purposeful exploration of the self. This can happen organically, in dreams that stay with you, or patterns in relationship that alert you to what’s in shadow in your psyche.

Innocence of the Fool

There are eclipses ahead that also have themes of facing the shadow and upheaval of the psyche. For the seeker, these help you align your intent to your will power even more.

But for this Aries New Moon, let the sunniest picture of who you’re becoming be your guide. New Moons are a time to rein in your focus, and Aries’ specialty is directed energy toward a singular goal. A tip is to keep it simple, for now. For example, you might simply evoke the intention of “less fear, more love” as a motivating force.

And then muse on what scenes come to mind that illustrate that for you. You might experiment with saying, “I am (fill in desired trait).” As you say it, experience it as a sensation. Aries’ color is red, but in ritual, white or purple (for Jupiter’s noble aim) also works. May you be revived by glimpses of stirring possibilities, and your own bright spirit at the Aries New Moon!

Top 3 Sites with Free Birth Charts

These days it's easy to find your birth (or natal) chart online. With a birth chart, you're able to see the sign and house position of all your planets. You can also use the chart to study the relationships between the planets, called aspects.

Here are three sites that offer high quality charts. You'll need your birth information -- date of birth, place of birth and the time. You can still get a chart without your exact birth time, but it won't set the rising sign, and house positions.

Astrodienst offers professional quality birth charts and the site is just a great overall resource for astrologers and beginners alike. Look for Chart Drawing/Ascendant for the basic chart. Your birth data is saved and available each time you go to the Astrodienst site from your home computer. This makes it easy to go back as you're ready to look at other kinds of charts, or compare your chart with someone else's (known as synastry).

Fifth House

holidays, partying style, friendships, play, children, artful self-expression, pride, creative risks and gambling, performance, dramatic storytelling, celebrations, games, amusement, the Dad

The fifth house holds clues to how you express yourself creatively. What's unique about you, that you like to flaunt and celebrate? What are you proud of in life? This house shows the manner that you radiate outward, being the house of the Sun. What do you create that's totally You. It could be works of art, literature, fashion, crafts, home decor, or the ultimate spin-off of who you are -- your kids.

This house shows how you express your joy for life in an outward way. Sometimes it points to that natural enthusiasm being squelched or channeled in a disciplined way (if Saturn is in the house, for example). It's the house of pleasure and fun, from parties, to trips to the amusement park, to parades and holiday festivities. Because the fifth house represents the spontaneous enjoyment of life, it's the realm of the eternal child within. Ready to play? This house shows the kinds of games and sports we choose, and what we do for pure pleasure.

The fifth house is Leo ruled, and associated with the father. But rather than the stern authoritarian of the 10th house, this is more a reflection of the Dad. How did he play or show pride? This extends to parenting, as well, with the 5th house reflective of how you relate to your own mini-me, and to kids in general.

It's also the house of creativity. Planets here guide how you express yourself through art, performance, and your social-romantic life. This house is about your passion, and what stirs it. Romance and love affairs are colored by the 5th house, but marriage is the province of the 7th House. The sparks flying, a mutual regard, and shared celebrations in a relationship stay kindled via the flavor of the 5th house.

A prominent fifth house can give you a larger-than-life persona, and make you memorable to others. You'll have a strong need to tell your personal story, and do it in a dramatic way. There's a tendency to go overboard and constantly seek approval. But whatever you do has an authentic stamp, and this makes you attractive to others. A strong fifth house also points to leadership, and qualities of regal bearing, self-respect and general confidence.

First House

early childhood, persona, temperament, behavior, personal atmosphere, appearance, physical attributes, self-interest, style, image, quirks, the Ego

With the Rising sign (or ascendant) on the cusp, the First House is considered the entry point for understanding the entire birth chart. This House influences the sense of self and personal image that others see, through mannerisms, style and attitude.

Signs and planets here have a big impact on what I'll call the atmosphere of the Self. The First House is the energy of the Self, experienced by others. Someone with high vitality could have Mars in this house, while Saturn here acts to restrain energy, and lends a seriousness to the personality. Hard aspects in this house show up as behavior issues that are out there for all the world to see. Favorable aspects are gifts that may make you particularly attractive, or well-liked by others.

The First House includes physical attributes that shape your sense of who you are. Health issues that impact your personal journey show up here in the birth chart. This means both your physical and psychological make-up, with a special focus on the face and head. But the First House holds keys to your overall appearance, including grooming habits, and tastes in dress and carriage.

As the First House, there's an associative link to childhood, and the experiences that have shaped your sense of Self. Hard aspects here hint at difficult early obstacles, sometimes parenting, that had an impact on your self-image, and ability to act in the world. The long shadow of childhood presents a series of challenges for such a person, the journey to overcome a rough start. Favorable aspects, on the other hand, may have laid a strong foundation for later success.

Transits to the First House may cause changes to your self-image, and impact you on a personal level. Your very being gets altered, depending on the energies lighting up this house.

Sun in Cancer

The Dates:

June 22nd through July 23rd

Keywords:

tenacious, patient, intuitive, nurturing, sensuous, imaginative, sensitive, empathic

The Shadow Side:

moody, clingy, self-absorbed, clannish, neurotic, needy, no boundaries, subjective

Element:

Cardinal and Water

Famous People with Sun in Cancer:

Nikola Tesla, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Robin Williams, Bill Cosby, Nelson Mandela, Princess Diana, Frida Kahlo, Rufus Wainwright, Liv Tyler, Deborah Harry, George Michael, Jerry Hall, Kathy Bates, Dan Ackroyd, Fiona Shaw, Daniel Radcliffe, Geoffrey Rush, Ringo Starr

Personality Profile:

Those with the Sun in Cancer have a changeable nature, which makes them something of an enigma, even with those closest to them. They’re ruled by the Moon, and are similarly known to glow brightly one moment, and hide their faces the next. A highly emotional sign, they can sink into a mood and fully inhabit it, so that it seems to permeate the atmosphere around them.

The Cancer imagination is so vivid that it’s like they’re watching home movies inside their heads. For them, every life experience can be replayed again and again in Technicolor, and the same internal landscape revisited. This is the raw material for both creative genius, and the tendency to get stuck in emotional eddies. And because they're psychic sponges, they need plenty of space to unravel the little dramas of the day, or they’ll get cranky.

The Cancer has a tender heart, but you might not see it at first behind the cool exterior. Once you’re allowed inside the circle of trust, you’ll start to know why they’re called the “mother” of the Zodiac. Both men and women of this sign have an instinctive nurturing side that endears them to those they love. The Crab’s claws hold tight, though, and often they have trouble letting go of relationships and situations.

Tenacious Crab

The stealth approach of the Cancer Sun often takes people by surprise, and many have been underestimated. They’ll protect their sensitivity by going after what they want indirectly, which can be seen as passive. But try to take advantage of their gentle nature, and you’ll soon be put in your place. Once crossed, the Cancer holds a grudge to infinity, so it’s hard to win back their trust.

Above all, the Cancer wants a sense of belonging, and an intimate home life. Once committed, they’ll prove to be the ultimate family man or woman, and likely never stray too far from the nest.

What Is a New Moon Ritual?

Rituals are a way to mark turning points in your life. They can be used to symbolically welcome changes in your life. They can be simple rituals or elaborate ones. The most important thing is your full presence in the moment.

The new Moon is a magical time of beginnings, when you can recharge goals, or set new ones.

Rituals bring meaning to our lives by "charging" an intention with power. We're always setting intentions, and this is a way to do it in a more conscious way. There is power in coming up with visions for your life, and keeping them in your sights as they come into being. But even as you fully commit to those visions, stay flexible, since new doors may open that you didn't expect. At the new Moon, goals and wishes take root, as you reach out for spiritual wisdom, draw on unseen allies and open the door to magical change. You might get what you ask for, or something even better that you can't imagine yet.

It's important to come up with a ritual that has meaning for you, instead of trying to follow any set guidelines (unless you're part of an established ritual group). You're the one that knows your personal story best, and what to lift out of that narrative, what will infuse your ritual with power. Here are some general guidelines to shape your rituals using the unique symbols and totems from your life.

Gathering your Sacred Supplies Your altar is where you collect your sacred objects -- pictures, found objects and the like. Using herbs with healing or symbolic properties adds to your ritual. Stones and crystals are another powerful ally. Candles are magical, and in its form contains all four of the elements. A small journal on hand allows you to keep a record of your intentions.

Preparing for the Ritual This is the most important part of ritual, since your commitment is the key. Take a ritual bath with sea salt to clear your field of any negative energies. Sage is an herb used by the Native Americans to clear a space, and make it sacred for ritual. It's available in most health food stores these days, and easiest to use in its wand form. Light the end and blow on it until there is a smoldering glow. Use it around your own body, and in the space of your ritual. Clear your mind with meditation, using music or just quieting down in your cleared, sacred area.

Grounding This is something that's important anytime, for staying connected to earth energy. Signs that you're not grounded are mania, nervousness, racing thoughts and the like. Too often we forget to feel the earth under our feet. I've mentioned Starhawk a few times on the site, and her tree grounding excercise is one of my own daily rituals. In a nutshell, it's visualizing the roots going down into the Earth, through the layers, into the core, and then drawing that energy back up through your feet again. It moves through each chakra, coming out the top and down around you. Try this or another variation of grounding before you set new Moon intentions.

Your New Moon Wishes After you've cleared a sacred space and settled your energy, you're ready to set your intentions. Make a list of what you'd like to draw into your life, and Dream Big! The new Moon is a moment to conjure what seems out of reach, and creating the vision is the first step to making it a reality. But these are not just words on paper. As you write them down as intentions, you are committing to doing your part to make them real. Some call it co-creating, since you're opening to universal energies to set dreams in motion.

Dreams of the Soul Your intentions come from the longings that keep coming up. In the days leading up to the new Moon, give some thought to those longings, and see what images, dreams and streams of thought come up. Use symbolic associations to go along with your intentions. Weave in the element for the new Moon, and think about the houses and planets that are affected by it. For an earth new Moon, for example, you might plant seeds that represent your intention. Rituals are a way to work with universal energies, and draw attention to the particular life lessons, or arena (house, planet, etc) that it illuminates for you.

Symbolic Acts Here's where you get to be creative. If your intentions are to write a book, or broadcast your ideas out to the world, tie them to a helium balloon and send them off. Write them on a stick and offer it to the fire. To open to love, put lavender and a rose quartz in a small pouch, along with the qualities you're seeking. If you're inspired, add a symbolic act to your intention-setting ritual.

Keep them Alive A big part of success with new Moon intentions is what comes after. Find ways to keep them in the front of your awareness. Put them in a visible spot, or keep them in your wallet. Make notes in your journal about your progress. At the full Moon , find ways to take action on those intentions, and celebrate any signs of change.

New Moon Ritual

What you need: a candle

A ritual is a symbolic gesture that backs up your intent. At the New Moon, we enter the unknown dark, so rich and mysterious. It's a powerful time to receive, and set intentions.

In the week before the New Moon, you can let it sit as a question in your mind, as you go about the day. See where it falls in your birth chart. What house? What planets does it engage with? This will bring out a stream of possible intentions.

What is the element of the Sun-Moon signs? Is this an element you'd like to activate more in your life?

Getting Clear: Spend time resting and quieting the mind. Hold it as a question before you go to bed; see if it comes up in dreams. Notice where your attention goes. Watch for synchronicity. Divine an intent with your Tarot, angel or animal spirit cards. Trust that it'll come. The Gesture

Write down your intentions the day before the New Moon, or on the day itself. Suggestion: take a sharpie and write them on a 7-day candle. If you're inspired, put a few meaningful totems, pictures, herbs or stones around it that relate to your intention. Light it and be with your candle fully focused on your intention. Keep it on your desk, altar or mantle. Let it remind you and help you stay committed to your intention.

Your Allies

If it feels right, ask for aid from angels, animal guides, ancestors, light beings and your own higher self.

When no intentions come:

Think of the essence of what's come up. It might be as simple as, "more fire, water, earth or air." Or, the powerful act of surrendering to your highest good, and letting spirit do the rest.

Some affirmations: I trust in the natural process of change, even if it takes me through the dark. I let go of who I am, for who I am becoming.

Mercury in Aries

Those with Mercury in Aries seek out the new, and present ideas to others energetically. They dazzle others by intuitively hitting on the essentials of a situation. They speak in a direct style that leaves the prolonged mulling over to others. They tell it like it is, and sometimes their honesty is brutal. They are forthright, so others don't have to read between the lines. Decisions are made quickly, and carry a sense of momentum to set it in motion. This makes them dynamic leaders who walk their talk, and inspire others to act.

Their mind is like a high-powered flashlight, with a concentrated focus. They're always seeking that breakthrough moment, when a brilliant notion captures their interest. Theirs is a mind hungry for stimulation and vigorous exchange. That need for verbal sparring can make them confrontational, always escalating conversations into arguments. They provoke others through language, and at extremes can be ruthless in their teasing.

The need to be brilliant and "win" debates means they encounter others as adversaries, even those they love. If this is not kept under control, they become insufferable "know-it-alls." They're restless and grow visibly frustrated when faced with delays. This Mercury also grows impatient with those they consider dim witted, which from their estimation, is a huge swath of the population. They love mental challenges that involve strategy and competition, like chess.

This Mercury's opinions and observations are creations of a self-centered mind. They can be defensive if challenged, because they are their thoughts. As forceful communicators, they are known to "ram" their ideas down others throats. But more often, their confident style infuses a stagnant atmosphere with new life. The fired up way they describe things is contagious, and soon others are alive with ideas, too.

The originality of Mercury in Aries makes them stand out in their fields. A concept they've hatched might take on a life of its own, and be an idea that others rally around. Chances are, they've got a few followers that hang on their every word. Their gift is sudden illumination, and it often startles others. Their challenge is to grow patient with the details, and to stick with projects through the tedious bits. They're genius at starting little fires, and quickly moving on to the next big thing. They are rarely bored, since there's always something new to discover.

The Houses

The birth chart has twelve pieces, and each represents an arena of life experience. These are called houses in astrology. Where are your planets? The Zodiac sign of the planet will show you the particular way it's directed. The house placement of a planet, shows you the realm of life where it plays out.

First House: (House of Aries and Mars) Includes the all-important Rising Sign (or Ascendant), and is the first impression given to the world. The house of identity, here are clues to our overall outer package, including behavior, physical traits, social mask, health and well-being. Planets here shape how others perceive you, and the "vibe" you put out there.

Second House: (House of Taurus and Venus) This is often referred to as the arena of money and values. It's the province of stability, resourcefulness and slow, steady progress. Here you're shown how a grounded life can be created, one that is self-sufficient and in line with your values.

Third House: (House of Gemini and Mercury) The house of education, short travels, the family tribe (siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles), neighborly exchanges and more. The style of sharing life observations comes through here. It's the arena of filtering info in, and sending it back out into your community.

Fourth House: (House of Cancer and the Moon) The arena of family, ancestral roots, the unconscious, Mother, and your sense of home. Planets here influence how you nest, and the experience to be had in the home base. Linked to our earliest moments in the womb, and even before that, in the undercurrents inherited from sources beyond this lifetime.

Fifth House: (House of Leo and the Sun) The house of creativity, and the Self radiating confidently outward. It's the arena of loving life through play, love affairs, self-expression and relating to children. Planets here also shape the way your Father is perceived, as well as risk-taking and the exuberant thrust into new creative fields.

Sixth House: (House of Virgo and Mercury or Chiron) The realm of routine in the service of a healthy, fulfilled life. Exercise, diet, our daily work, all fall in this arena. Planets here reveal your approach to daily life, discipline, colleagues and your own physical well being.

Seventh House: (House of Libra and Venus) This house holds clues to the tenor, style and lessons of your major relationships. That includes marriage, business partnerships and the big friendships in your life. Relationships are a mirror of the Self and planets here show what kinds of self-growth happens for us in that arena of life.

Eighth House: (House of Scorpio and Pluto) The house of regeneration through sex, and personal periods of death & rebirth. This realm deals with all things dark, hidden and potentially destructive, including our own unacknowledged psychic undercurrents. Planets here influence how we deal with the unknown -- whether with fear, attempting to control or surrendering to be transformed.

Ninth House: (House of Sagittarius and Jupiter) The arena of higher education, seeking knowledge, traveling and exploring the world. Planets here show how we expand our field of experience, and integrate all we know into a philosophy of life. This sphere reflects personal vision quests, dreams, aspirations and how we search for higher wisdom.

Tenth House: (House of Capricorn and Saturn) The house of personal authority and long-range career ambitions. Planets here influence how you create real change, and become an authority in your area of expertise. It determines things like persistence and endurance toward your big goals.

Eleventh House: (House of Aquarius and Uranus) The house of friendships, networks and the collective currents. Planets here show what kinds of alliances you create based on shared hopes, dreams and visions for the future.

Twelfth House: (House of Pisces and Neptune) This house deals with hidden realities, and planets here are vulnerable to illusion. Called the "house of undoing," because planets placed here are immersed in the All, and hard to see clearly. Growth in this house happens at the soul level, and often far below the radar.

Mercury in Virgo

concise thinking, dry wit, analyzer, linguist, perfect planning, editing and fact-checking, understanding systems, logical, commonsense, thorough

Virgo is considered a mercurial sign, and those with this placement have gifts of communication. The thinking processes are concise, and have a sense of order built-in. If this is your Mercury, you're apt to be a wordsmith, someone that builds up language carefully. This orderly mindframe translates to a high level of competence in whatever field of work you engage in.

You like to approach new situations in a detached way, and coming to your own conclusion after you've collected all the facts. This makes you a cool head in a crisis. You're able to be matter-of-fact, when others lose their clarity in emotions or passions. You express your views in a modest way, and don't usually need others to validate your perspective. The Virgo mentality is self-contained and whole unto itself, which makes you a clear voice that grasps the essentials.

In Virgo, Mercury speaks with a voice of integrity. What motivates the attempt to understand is a desire for the whole picture, to have an integrated view. You're able to weave in all the threads, seeing how they fit into the big picture. The fascination with the pieces of the puzzle can keep you from seeing the overall structure. You can drive people crazy when your precise focus becomes a pin light on an issue. Getting stuck on the details, can keep you from seeing other dimensions of the situation at hand.

If you're not involved in something that feels purposeful, you lose interest. As a creative thinker, you stick close to the ground, in a structure that's got a real-life rhythm. This gives you the ability to write, draw, sing, express your imagination in ways that others can relate to. Your find the artful in the everyday.

Your manner of speaking is understated, which is why your humor comes off as dry. You notice things that others miss. Your mind separates the wheat from the chaff, drawing out the essentials on which to build a clear vision. You're not easily distracted by empty words, and come across yourself as sincere, a virtuous thinker. This makes others more likely to trust your opinion, since it's usually pure, untainted by a hidden motive.

The Virgo mentality is a working one, always seeking to be productive. You like to keep the wheels turning, and enjoy puzzles and wordgames that challenge your mind. You like to read, and are drawn to anything well written, and that meets your standards of research. You're a serious thinker, who is always refining your perspective.

Gemini Rising

Personality Traits: loquacious, excitable, juggler of activities, childlike, talkative, on the go, wired, fun.

Body and Style: delicate frame, thin, a dandy or waif, nervous tension,

The Gemini rising is light and chatty, and always looking at life through new angles. You’re naturally social, and a great mingler since you know what’s interesting to share. You get into mischief when your need to know runs wild and turns into negative gossip. Mostly, you’re just curious about people, and that comes across as you quickly collect many acquaintances.

You’re full of contradictory sides, and this may make it hard for others to trust you. You can be a wicked gossip if you use your gift for the gap in a negative way. You mean what you say, but quickly see many sides to one issue, and can play your own Devil’s Advocate. It takes time to reconcile these many threads, and to find a singularity of thought. You’re a synthesizer of information, and this leads you into careers as social commentator or writer.

You change your style and even persona more than most, as you play at different roles. You enjoy the trends of fashion, music and may have talent as a shapeshifting actor-type. Your mutable nature allows you to be friends with all kinds of people, but you like to keep a light hold. You need to keep moving and feel free, and others experience you as a breath of fresh air….

Even though you love to talk, public speaking may be nerve wracking for you. You can become overwhelmed with nerves, and psyche yourself out with racing thoughts. Learning to relax your high-strung nerves is a lifelong lesson. Meditation or yoga would be an incredible anchoring tool for you. Hematite is a great grounding stone, and a version of your chart ruler, Mercury.

Unique Date Ideas Based on Your Zodiac Sign

What you choose to do for those first few dates can make or break the whole affair. It’s best to pick an activity that you genuinely enjoy doing and won’t push you beyond your comfort zone. But that doesn’t mean that an enchanted evening (or day) won’t take a memorable turn for the unexpected.

Aries

Impress Aries by finding out about an underground vaudeville spectacle or all-night dance party. Try to score front row seats or access to the V.I.P. section of an event, and watch them revel in their number one status. Bring them into a rarified and glamorous environment, like a film festival. The Aries shines among top-level people and would enjoy watching them test their mettle, and if possible, participating. This could be anything from a sporting event to a spoken word competition.

Taurus

Think slow and easy with this one, perhaps suggesting a relaxed picnic lunch at the beach or park. They’re notable eaters from the down home type to the gourmand, so trying out several restaurants can keep you busy for a while. For extra points, cook up a full course meal at home and invite them over. A movie is nice because you don’t have the pressure to talk, but can still grow closer through the shared cinematic experience.

Gemini

A chance to chat about everything under the Sun warms the Gemini heart. This can happen anywhere, but it helps if the setting is stimulating, as well. Keep it lively with a trip to a museum or dropping by to watch sidewalk artists and musicians. Any novel setting makes them feel a childlike sense of wonder, so why not take them to that restaurant with delicious, but rarely seen cuisine you’ve never heard of. For them, variety is the spice of life -- don’t be afraid to make an unusual request!

Cancer

Here’s the chance to try that cozy little Italian place with the private tables and candles on every table. A calm atmosphere and their favorite comfort foods set the stage for romance. Try to avoid crowded concert events with them, as they’re easily overwhelmed by chaos and could retreat behind their shell. You’ll know things are going well when the Cancer finally invites you into the sanctity of their home, and that’s when you’ll begin to see their true self emerge.

Leo

A fine dining experience appeals to their refined tastes, but also to their affinity for being served. The trappings of romance are important, and they’ll smile on a date with flowers, chocolate or a bottle of wine in hand. Being on display lights them up, so dressing to the nines and stepping out is a dating event unto itself. Some cocktails, a little dinner and dancing, a night cap – they're likely to appreciate timeless elegance over a more casual scenario.

Virgo

Some wholesome Virgos would enjoy a yoga date followed by dinner at an organic café. Others might enjoy a ride through the countryside on a tandem bike, and a beer at the local micro-brewery. Many are drawn to cultural events, especially literary readings, but to anything except the truly lowbrow. You might suggest tackling a project together – this satisfies their need to work toward a practical goal. Add the right mood music and subtle flirtation, and washing the car becomes the ultimate prelude to romance.

Libra

You’ll get far by wining and dining the Libra in grand style. Even in the comfort of home, they’ll appreciate it if you bring out the best tablecloths and cloth napkins. Libra has an eye for beauty, and any kind of cultural event gives them a chance to show off their good taste. They’re excellent conversationalists, so be sure to plan time to “discuss” what you’ve viewed over a drink. But keep it clean and sophisticated – they may not want to stay long in your favorite smoke-filled dive bar. Many of them want to go where the beautiful people are to see and be seen.

Scorpio

The only thing predictable here is the Scorpio unpredictability. Listen to what drives their particular passions and make suggestions accordingly. They are avid competitors so if you’re up for it, why not suggest some one on one action in any sport or recreation. Active dates keep you from having to reveal too much too soon to the probing Scorpio mind. The pull toward the bedroom may be felt right away, but a varied first few dates gives it a basis for so much more.

Sagittarius

These globetrotters could appreciate a world music festival or one of those “Taste of the Nations” food extravaganzas. Throw a dinner party and invite your most culturally diverse friends so they’ll see how interesting you are. The active “Sadge” could go for an exercise date, such as a day trip of sightseeing on mountain bikes. All this is training for hiking in Nepal, skiing at Beech Mountain and those many triathlons that come later.

Capricorn

Suggested dating ideas for Capricorn are activities that are enriching in some way, and a good value for the money spent. You shouldn’t leave the restaurant, for example, thinking you’ve been over-billed -- impress them by looking at food reviews beforehand. It’s not always obvious that they’re having a good time, but one sign is if they begin talking in an animated way. They might appreciate events that provoke serious discussion such as a historic re-enactment or a sweeping epic drama.

Aquarius

It’s easier to get to know the Aquarius as part of a circle of friends. And date night may usually involve one or more other couples, for dinner or caravanning to a party. Try taking them to the local planetarium for the laser light show. They'd enjoy attending a benefit for a cause they believe in. An expo on futuristic gadgets could pique their interest. For dinner, try suggesting cuisine they’re not apt to eat every day.

Pisces

They’ll be in their element by or on the water, so perhaps try a day trip along a scenic river, or an excursion to see the dolphins. Pisces is fascinated by the “otherworldly” and might enjoy stopping by the local metaphysical shop. They’re also drawn to art, music and film, so try an evening of imaginative escape and entertainment. Getting to know them takes time, and you’ll get further in quiet environments where you can talk one on one.

Moon Void-of-Course

The Moon is in Capricorn at the moment, and oft-times, that means the instinct to climb mountains (get things done) is strong.

And yet, the Moon is Void-of-Course, and that means it's not forming any aspects (angles) to other planets. It's an astrological phenomenon that happens about 13 times a month, and is very subtle, if felt at all.

With it, may come a drifty, floaty feeling, or the urge to come at something from an intuitive angle. The last angle was a square to Mars (Libra), which is in retrograde. So a possible current is weighing options, considering alternative pathways, or the need to take someone else into account.

The mood of the particular Moon Void-of-Course is said to be colored by that last angle made, so here, the one to Mars. It could temporarily mean a delay, or a sense of slowness. That's on top of the Moon being in its waning phase, too. The Void-of-Course ends when the Moon goes into Aquarius (6:39 pm Eastern).

Neptune Ate My "To-Do" List

It's been a real wordless Friday, so here's an image of the day. The Moon is in its balsamic phase -- the Dark Moon -- and that's a phase of swirling the drain. And the Moon is in Pisces, the sign with the loosest hold on reality.

Pisces and its ruler Neptune inspire mighty powers of surrendering. And that's also a power move during the Dark of the Moon. There are aspects today to the Moon that hint at miracles, when there's a letting go...

Aries New Moon is Day One

I'll be in my garden today, pulling weeds -- the Sun is out here on Sunday and I want to be out-of-doors! And by happy accident, it's in sync with the rhythm of lunar gardening -- a powerful day to plant seeds is the New Moon, when the Moon moves into fertile Taurus on April 1st.

In the meantime, the Aries energy, with the Aries New Moon (today- March 30th), is physically vitalizing -- much can be worked out, in motion.

The luminaries (Sun and Moon) are at 10 Aries, making angles to the same planets involved in April's grand cross (around April 20-23rd). That makes this Day One, in a lunation/month of anticipated birthing-the-new drama. Here's my take, with more to come: April's Astrology & the Cardinal Grand Cross.

Sun into Aries, Vernal Equinox

In Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, Luke encounters Yoda, who explains "The Force" that's all around to make an ally. Luke says, "All right, I'll give it a try." Yoda replies, "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try."

That could be an Aries saying. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, one of big action and big energy. The Sun goes into Aries today, which also marks the first day of Spring -- the Vernal Equinox.

Aries season is the atmosphere for growth spurts, right along with nature. And yet, Aries' ruler Mars is retrograde now, and in the opposite sign Libra. The Ram without subtlety or sense of timing can come up against resistance or worse -- no reaction at all.

There are a lot of cardinal (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) energies in play, so actions can get a strong reaction. Where is Aries in your birth chart? That's the life sphere where you come alive, when facing fears and doing it anyway.

Like the young German Christoph Rehage who walked 3,000 miles across China -- documented here in time-lapse images, The Longest Way. He was driven to do it, and he did. That's the spirit of The Fool in the Tarot, and Aries. Happy Spring!

Mercury Pisces Rx: Soaked Book Found

Do you have a Mercury Retrograde story? Yesterday I solved the mystery of the missing book. I ordered it via Amazon, back on January 22nd -- synching when Mercury went into its shadow phase. The first delivery failed, and then it was sent again in mid-February.

I found that book on my neighbors' porch, totally soaked by rain. It's a hardback and has a water stain, but I've got it by the heater, drying out. And it's the eve of Mercury going out of shadow direct in a water sign (Pisces). I usually don't have such literal as above, so below retrograde experiences, so I thought I'd share it.

Meanwhile, you're not alone if you're finding it hard to think in the usual way. Mercury is now in Pisces, and very touched-by-Neptune -- it's hard to wrangle thoughts moving in two directions! Pisces is the last sign, and it's the last day of the solar year. That makes today a kind of Dark Moon of the astrological year.

April Astrology: The Power of the Sacred Four

Many are on the edge of their seats, wondering what April will bring. Notably, there's a grand cross around April 23rd, with all four cardinal corners juiced up.

There's the next exact Uranus-Pluto square on April 21st. And this is a point of intensifying squeeze or crash in the ongoing breakdown -- and rebirth -- process. Mars is backing up to bring an airy (Libra) forcefulness to any crisis that happens.

The fourth player is Jupiter (in Cancer), and the point of stress, or pressure to change, is at 13 degrees. The chart for April 23rd's Grand Cross shows all cardinal points engaged. Cardinal energies initiate, and boldly take charge.

Let's look at this as an initiation, to experience the power of nature within us and around us. Four is a sacred and stabilizing number -- it's associated with the medicine wheel of indigenous cultures.

This brings together the four elements - fire, earth, air and water. And it fires up all four directions of the solar wheel.

Instead of contracting in fear, or using the old narratives for the story of now, Uranus Aries encourages seeing with fresh eyes, and lightening your load. Where's the excitement and sense of freedom? How can we use the amazing technologies (Uranus), to benefit humanity? How do we fight against technologies that exploit humanity?

Pluto Capricorn is doing the dirty work of shining light on what's dark and toxic. Hidden agendas and hierarchies are being unveiled. The regeneration comes when we align with Earth power and understand its ancient history and secrets, instead of growing further away from it.

Jupiter's luck and Midas Touch is in Cancer, the sign of home and family. We can see here, that there's a fight (at times, a war) over the future of the human family. Mars couldn't be in a better sign than Libra, to activate sleepy consciences, and put forth alternatives that are based on the highest human values.

I chose this image, because there's a lot of fluid water as a backdrop, for thawing out and re-sensitizing. I'll be writing more in the next week on this, and have been giving it a lot of thought. For now, how about getting back to basics -- the elements. This is a time to be alert and prepared to change. We are living in wild, memorable times!

Tips: Create your own four elements altar or power spot; example, a candle (fire), gems and crystals or found rocks (earth), feathers (air) and scrying bowls (water). Look at your own strengths and challenges with the elements.

Dark of the Moon: Venus in the Deep End

The love planet Venus has some erratic gyrations planned in the Dark of the Moon Within hours on the same day (Saturday, March 29), Venus in Aquarius is in a revving trine (to Mars Libra), and a conflicted square (to Saturn Scorpio).

What comes to mind with Venus in Aquarius is vibes -- who's on your wavelength? In a time when perception itself is in flux, it's vitalizing to meet someone who really gets you.

But in relationships there are often limits that we sense, that someone can't go there. And that's when we bump up against someone's psychic edge, their comfort zone -- and vice versa.

Venus' covert show, under the lunar darkness, sets the mood for tests in love and friendship. Venus is about desire, and Aquarius' milieu is visions of the future, often shared. The square to Saturn (Scorpio) hints that taking steps to make it real, could bring up fears, or what's buried in the psyche (unconscious impulses).

Here's one way it can play out. In his article Ewww, That's Just So Low Frequency, Soren Dreier writes, "So we have all these very judgmental new age people who say: Love is all, we are all one, everything is connected and the usual posture or display of spirituality that really hasn't sunken in, but is sugarcoating a very dark inner life, in metaphysical disguise. Well, you?re busted."

I really see even awkward aspects like the Venus contortion on Saturday as encouragement to be real. It reminds me of Dr. Christine Page's tip for chaotic times to Be Real. Don't Be Good. From the article: "The talk was on living in a hologram, and Page described that as the external reality we set up so we can know ourselves. But the apocalypse, 'unveiling,' is making it harder to hide behind stories of being the victim. We can more clearly see what we're creating, and that's why it's such a powerful time to integrate old wounds, past lives, and live with more authenticity."

This is potent medicine, in the wind down to the Aries New Moon on Sunday (March 30th). It's timely for seeing the psychic roots of what we're creating, and even with some clarity. And then, slipping out of it like a snake sheds its skin.

Neptune Goggles On: Sensitized Sight

Sometimes dreams are so real, that they hint at a secret life in the astral. And one that's often veiled to us, except when we wake up with it fresh in the conscious memory.

It's where you meet up with old loves and work things out, or visit a family member that's passed away. Today the translating planet Mercury moves into Pisces (March 17th, 2014), for sensitized thinking, possibly seeing beyond appearances and the five senses.

You might have some epiphanies, as Mercury comes out of direct shadow (March 21st), crossing brand new degrees after the recent retrograde. That's followed by a Mercury meet-up with Pisces' ruler Neptune (March 22nd).

When Mercury crosses 3 Pisces, it'll be the release phase of the retrograde -- it's an atmosphere to see into subtle and soulful realities. And Pisces, as the last sign inspires the catharsis of surrendering to a higher knowing/force. With all this revelatory, imaginative mental juice this week, what are the possibilities?

A change of heart about a person or situation that begins to dissolve all that's bundled up with it. Discover new tools, like reversed speech -- overt and covert speech happen simultaneously, like the two fish of Pisces, one conscious, the other unconscious. Thinking metaphorically -- great streams for visual writing, music, image-making. Healing modalities beyond the talking cure -- sound, energy, inner journeying.Hiroshi Watanabe/Getty Images

Aries: Courage to Face Disillusionment

Mercury came out of its release phase, in Neptune's sign Pisces at 3 degrees (March 21st). One experience associated with Neptune (and Pisces) is disillusionment -- the dissolving of illusions.

Melody Scott Zindell wrote this on Neptune and a Collective Healing Crisis: "Things are not as bad as they may look. It's easy to see the insanity of these times, the hypocrisy, the scary disregard for rights and boundaries, the victims and the violence. This is the extreme polarization of these times, which I feel is part of the process needed to create our new future. We must be ready to face the shadow and not be in denial of what is actually going on in the world. It's easy sometimes to feel so helpless, overwhelmed and depressed. But this process also clarifies where we have been misled and just how far from our dreams for our lives we can be."

Speaking of dreams for our lives, there's an Aries New Moon this Sunday, and it's super-charged by Uranus the vitalizing evolutionary force. Creative acts can lead to surprises or shocks -- the effects of an action could create blowback, a chain reaction, great gains or losses. Uranus is electrifying the Sun-Moon, and creates a restlessness to experiment, break with stifling people or situations.

The narrator for the New Moon is Neptune, by way of Mercury in Pisces. So while there's drastic intensity in play, that wisdom Melody mentions is there to draw from. It's about being able to be in that in-between, when the old is out-of-date and the new is only just emerging.

Last few days, I've been in one of those rich, but disorienting in-between times. And it's a waning Moon, to go with the flow, of winding down, and preparing for the the new lunation.

Retro Mars Was More Of A Factor Than She Thought

Vogue Italia Woman Two Men

She’d totally prepared for this as only a Extreme Minimalist Pisces in the Age of Aquarius could.

First, she’d Feng Shuied her vagina. The results had surpassed her expectations. She felt only a noble geniality toward her Scorpio Ex-husband. . Gone were the presumably cervix-eroding hormones of hate.

From now on, Gwyneth would be her Muse in terms of relationship. Hearts were not broken – they were  macrobiotically retooled, holistically evolved.

Next, she had emancipated herself from handbag slavery -  no way were Freud’s theories about handbags symbolizing the vagina going to scramble her Qi.   She gazed with bemusement at the square, boxy studded handbag of the woman across the room. Terrifying. And clearly she probably had NO idea that sage was a powerful magical substance. She probably sprinkled it on fish or something. Ah muggles, she sighed inwardly.

Then she had taken an Alchemy Bath – Epsom Salts, a candle burning, incense and water – all of the elements covered.

Her fingernails were obsidian, finely ground down by a fitter and welder she had consciously coupled with a few moons ago, and added to normal nail varnish, for extra protection.  Plus she had tipped a bucket of peroxide and Evian over her head: Hydrogen peroxide has healing properties and she liked to glow gently in the dark.

But Theodora had over looked one vital factor:  Mars Retrograde. Not only were men erratic and sometimes suffering from performance issues, they were sluggish and prone to falling asleep on the job.

Next time, she vowed, still irritated by the black boxy studded vagina across the room, she would make them sign a performance contract. And she would wait until Mars was in Scorpio.  I mean, holy Hecate, it was not like her theory about the owl dream was dull at all.

Image: Niki De Saint Phalle – i worship this woman and her work – most of it is installations at her Tarot Garden so i do not often feature it BUT something beautifully weird and surreal just happened.  I got her scent in the 80s – invested in it when I was a student with next to zero income – and mostly because of the bottle, below. But the fragrance was actually beautiful – very Jasmine & Ylang Ylang, like if a surrealist got to redo Chanel 19 – just NOW as i was looking at a picture of her, a great big generous whiff of that unmistakable perfume, which i have not owned for years, filled the room.  Unmistakably magic.  Awe.  I know i am still high on codeine from the emergency dental procedure but still…

Hyperdimensional Energetics

Dinorah Hatta

‘Further still, all of the giant, rapidly rotating fluid outer planets of our solar system (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) possess one other extremely significant attribute consistent with a hyperdimensional energetic model: they all radiate into space more energy than they receive from the sun (in Neptune’s case, almost three times this amount).

[Physicist Paul A. LaViolette refers to this as genic energy, and it is the result of the aether/gravity creating matter in our reality—something conventional models cannot properly account for. (To Dr. Kozyrev, stars were “machines” which obtained their energy from the flow of “time” [aether] as it streamed into them.

Ancient Pyramid Technologies of the Modern Age

People have pontificated about a unseen powerful energy medium in the universe for millennia. Ancient Greeks called it “aether” which means “shine” – the Chinese call it Qi and the Indians Prana.  People got burned at the stake for researching it.

The Dr Kozyrev mentioned above was a Virgoan, Russian astrophysicist who believed in it but was jailed for counter-revolutionary activities. When he got out, the scientific conversation was all about atomics and the very mention of this energy was considered cuckoo.

He would have been no doubt thrilled in a Virgo “I told you so” to see today’s emphasis and billion dollar research into ‘dark matter’, ‘dark energy’ and ‘quantum energy’ — it’s fine to say “dark” or “quantum” – just don’t mention the magic.

Weekly Horoscopes Are Up

Brad Pitt Fight Club

Hey guys, the Weekly Horoscopes are up...complete with psychological flame retardant and Zap transmuting infusions…Seriously, BIG couple of weeks ahead.  Just bring it with the A-Vibe. Evolve or Evaporate. You know the drill. This HAS been ongoing since 2008….it is just intensifying.

And speaking of Pluto in Capricorn – check out this CNBC clip.  It is must-see Zap Zone viewing.  it is bankers denying the allegations of Moneyball author Michael Lewis – a genius Libran – that the stockmarkets are rigged. It goes feral real fast. There is more online.

It is amazing to think, that if banks lend us “money”, they just digitally create it with a key stroke. Our interest payments in return for this “money” is real money, the stuff we earn with our time and expertise. What they lend us is invented. It’s called fractional reserve banking and it’s legal.

The Silence Retreat Sucked

Jacques Olivar

Hiding out to avoid the Zap Zone and X had been a poor decision. The Silence Retreat sucked, it was a completely ridiculous idea for a Gemini and it was not even working to quell her Love Zombie relapse. If anything, it was making the malaise worse.

She realized on the second day that her only shoes were going to be useless for solo hiking the 20 kilometers back to civilization, she was sans internet or even smart phone and going insane.

But then, on Day 4, something amazing happened – the raven at the back of the retreat began talking to her.  The Raven said he knew her from a past life, that they had lived in an island fortress and the Raven was owned by a corrupt alchemist. Everything that prick said was a lie but you believed him. You died for his love.  This made her think of X and his pathetic pretensions to science.

Then the Raven said that she needed more Vitamin D (which was actually a magical substance) and to be blonde for her aura.

And that Mordor was a real country. Only it had gotten bad press due to terrible propaganda. It was actually really beautiful and the Raven had gone to university there when he was a prince one life. He wanted to be freed and he promised her safe flight in return.

Pan In Taurus & Your Weekend

Sade

Hey don’t forget to rest and self-nourish this Dark Moon weekend. The Daily Horoscopes are up for Saturday/Sunday with more and all the times for the Moons…

Also, if you are getting a bit over the Zap Zone/Grand Cardinal Cross vibe turn onto Asteroid Pan in Taurus till May. Pan is the Wild God – number 4450 – irreverent and full of Pagan vitality, a lover of nature, storms, horses, music and sensuality.

Currently at 12 Taurus. Pan is a.k.a. the Horned God and that is from whence the word “horny” comes from. I mean, what’s not to like?

Pan is said to have an affinity with Capricorns – they could oust Saturn and nominate Pan as their ruler? There could be a rebellion.

Lady Gaga Does Stevie Nicks

Lady Gaga Inez and Vinoodh

This is the latest incarnation of uber Aries Lady Gaga, styled totally like Stevie Nicks, the slinky Gemini of Fleetwood Mac fame. It must be bloody annoying trying to have someone reincarnate as you when you’re still alive but you know, Aries.

i can see this working as a Madonna in her hey-day “totally reinvent every Saturn cycle” stunt.  That’s every two and a half years. Lady Gaga will turn haute hippie – next thing she will be Feng Shuing her vagina, covering some ancient hit of Fleetwood Macs and reeking of Nag Champa.

Amusingly, her and Stevie Nicks have some strong astrological synastry:  Gaga’s Lilith is on Stevie’s North Node. Her Gemini Ascendent is on Stevie’s Mercury Uranus combo.  THAT is how she is able to channel this schizz.

They are both big Fire-Air blends of chutzpah grounded by super-strength Earth Mars.

Gaga’s Midheaven is on Stevie’s Lilith in Pisces.  There is more. This is just the beginning.

Do they actually talk in real life?  Or is Lady Gaga going to channel off an essence?

Stevie Nicks was New Age way before it went mainstream  – she was smudging the stage, banging on about witches and calling in emergency Shamans ahead of the herd.  I want to see a collaboration – circles of salt – invocations to Lilith or Hecate – Pussy Riot involvement, the whole damn deal.

Thoughts?

Moon in Aries

Marlon Brando, Whitney Houston, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Stevie Wonder, Al Capone, Salvador Dali, Mark Twain, Cate Blanchette, Angelina Jolie
Those with the Moon in Aries have a fiery heart that always knows Spring will come again, no matter how things appear. And while they do feel intensely, this keeps them from lingering too long in an emotional mood. The Aries Moon is tempestuous, courageous and a great lover of personal freedom.
The Aries Moon can sense the truth of a matter right away, and grows restless for others to "get it." If they seem pent up, it's only that they're ready for the next big challenge. They'll be most alive if at the edge of trying new things and meeting new people.
They don't mean to harm when they cauterize emotional wounds with a verbal blowtorch rather than apply a soothing balm. Their words might be brusque, but often their medicine is the blinding truth that otherwise would go unsaid. In relationships of all kinds, count on them to keep it real, fresh and honest.
The Moon in Aries has a lit up quality that can make them sought after social companions. They'll be able to jump-start those at low ebb with their shiny charisma. But they'll need stimulation in return, or you'll soon see them looking for the exit. The one thing they don't stand for too long is restrictive or boring situations.
They'll need a romantic partner that won't be easily cowed by their bluster. After a cathartic argument, it'll be time for making up, and then the smoldering passion of the Aries Moon will re-emerge. If you can handle getting singed now and again, it'll likely be an unforgettable time.
